Bayonet Adapter Kit, ONG version

We've completed a small run of Remington-pattern bayonet adapters (Remington SKU: '1005-NC 067810 LGG') and have spared no expense in the process. Remington filed a patent application for an earlier design of this adapter in July 1967. An improved version with 3 clamping screws was supplied to the Ohio National Guard from 1971. These ONG bayonet adapters had a hot blued finish and a stainless steel front bead sight. The USMC were also supplied this same bayonet adapter albeit fitted with a front rifle sight and a parkerized finish, with these being fitted to the USMC's Mark 1 shotguns. We have made two minor changes, the first being to accommodate the larger barrel diameter at the muzzle of 0.885" commonly found on modern production 870 shotguns, and the second making the bayonet lug removable enabling servicing or replacement if damaged in the field. These changes are achieved without departing from the appearance of the original. Our kit does not include the magazine extension, magazine coupling nut or the longer magazine spring required for installation.
