Ejection Port Cover

This is a durable stainless steel replacement for the original plastic ejection port cover (Remington SKU: F91408B). The 4th image in the gallery compares the two side-by-side. This is an essential part which ensures that the larger of the breech bolt's two cam pins is retained in place - see our improved cam pins. This cover won't warp or fatigue over time like the original and is resistant to all known gun solvents. The surface finish varies between individual units due to the investment casting process and will show some residue and tooling marks - we supply them as pictured. They can be further finished by polishing on a stitched sisal wheel with rouge compound for a gloss finish, glass bead blasting for a matte finish, or otherwise cerakoted to match existing finishes.

We guarantee that the ejection port cover that you receive will fit the models listed above. We also include an image in the gallery showing the forend assembly and barrel being removed from the receiver – which is required to fit this part to your rifle. This part cannot be fitted by racking the action open, inserting the steel ejection port cover, and racking the action closed again. This is also the improper method of fitting the plastic Remington ejection port cover and will lead to a reduction in its lifetime. If any of this is in doubt, the services of a competent gunsmith will be required.
